Hello,
I'm trying to find out whether l2cap or rfcomm connections can be used in conjunction with the push registry. In the JSR-120 documentation the following examples are given as valid connection descriptors: MIDlet-Push-1:socket://:79, com.sun.example.SampleChat, * MIDlet-Push-2:datagram://:50000,com.sun.example.SampleChat,* Is it possible to make obtain equivalent functionality via the BT connections doing something like this? : MIDlet-Push-3: l2cap://:79,com.mycom.myproject.BluetoothPush,* Has anybody got any experience with the issue? Any luck Anders?
I need to launch a MIDlet on Nokia 6600 in response to incoming bluetooth connections (btspp). /uabtcar |

I don't think it is possible on 6600
I remember once I've seen some tech note stating the only possible connections are either sms or datagram Seems most of the current MIDP 2 devices only supports SMS as the way to wake up the MIDlet. Will we have to wait till MIDP 3 ? |

Unfortunately, it looks like you remember correctly, plahoda. I got this link from the JABWT newsgroup:

According to the Nokia developer newsletter on may 11, this year, the developer platform supports push registry for Bluetooth connections. Do anybody know which mobile phone will be the first to implement this?
