Hi Forum,
i have some trouble setting up my bluetooth testing environment. I have an NOKIA DTL 4 Card in an ELAN P111 PCI Adapter. Anything is recognized well by my Win 2K Machine with SP4. I installed everything as described in "Setting up and Using the Bluetooth Testing Environment for Series 60 Platform" V1.3. When i try to test the connection, Section 5.6, after the question "Bluetooth is currently switched off. Switch on?" nothing happens, no "Searching for devices", nothing! The emulator idles an if i push any button i recieved a "unknown software exception" (0x80000003). Then the emulator is gone. The used "virtual" Comport by the DTL 4 Card is 3. When setting another port in bt.esk, bluetooth is not available. So i think the card is well recognized, but won't work very well. Are there some other Test Tools? Any hints? Regards from the Lake Constance, Germany Carsten |

I am having a similar problem. In my case I am using the F card. I am able to detect other devices (when it says it is searching), but when I try to send a message, I get an error saying "Cannot establish bluetooth connection".
Were you able to fix your problem? how? did you find other test. Please let me know, I really appreciate your help. Liza |
