Ok, as u can see from the title im desperate for some help with my 6600!
i can get PC suite and bluetooth to work perfectly, but only once! and then after that i get problems. im on windows xp, service pack 1, im useing a microsoft bluetooth dongle (came with mouse and keyboard). heres what i do: 1, install dongle and use the "wireless links" in control panel to find the phone 2, it finds it ok, i Auth them fine... i make sure my pc is authed in my phones "paired devices". 3, install PC suite, reboot... nothing happens, so i right click Mrouter, then goto "connect to bluetooth device".. it finds my phone, i click ok, and it connects. every thing works fine untill i restart my pc.. and try to use PC suite again. when i try to connect again by right clicking Mrouter and conect to bluetooth device... it says "Failed to connect to nokia 6600 - a conection atempy failed because the conection party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established conection failed because conected hosr has failed to respond" i have tryed HUNDREDS of things to get it working agian... so far the ONLY thing which will make it work again is to format my phone and start all over again from factory settings ! please help me out as its doing my head in... i thought going from a 3330 to a 6600 was a good idea.. turning out to be a pain in the bottom ![]() cheers sam |

Hi Sam,
I've had similar problems as you have but have solved them by removing my bluetooth adapter BEFORE I shutdown my pc, then insert it again only AFTER I have re-started my pc again. From my experience leaving the bluetooth adapter in the pc when restarting, seems to cause this problem. Hope this helps. |
