What is bluetooth? How does it work?

Bluetooth is a communications standard which is based on radio waves. This means that it doesn?t require either a cable or direct line of sight to work, the devices simply need to be within a radius of approx. 10 meters of each other.

For instance a mobile phone can be locked in a briefcase while a user makes a call on a wireless headset or downloading an email on a laptop.
