1.How to know that a particular device supports which Configuration Have a look at phone specification. 2.After the configuration is known, which profile is to be used. Have a look at phone specification 3.For developing the application in c++, do different device category give different set of APIs for development.,plz explain. Probably yes, ask in Symbian area of the forum. Series 40/30 devices don't support third-party C++ applications at all 4.What about the development platform for PALM and POCKET PC devices.what profiles from the above listing do they use . Ask on some Palm and Pocket PC forums or on general Sun forums. As far as I've heard Palm can run MIDPs while Pocket PCs use some Java Personal edition or whatever the correct name is, try asking at Java PersonalEdition area of this forum 5.can development on POCKET PC be done only on compact .net framework??? How can you expect here an answer to this question? :) Ask at Pocket PC developer forums |

thanks for the answers.
the reason for my posting the question here in this forum was , there will be a lot of developers in this forum who would love to answer any question related to wireless development and must have been working on different handsets. manik |
