We're all been fooled by Nokia. I have the same problems with my Clie and laptop BT, both the machines found the 8910, but 8910 did not find others except the BT headset. It seems 8910 only works with the hanfree headset but not other devices; Palm, Pocket PC and laptop. You can see that when we try to pair the devices it only says " Serch for audio accessories". I've used Ericsson T68i before, never have this problems. I asked the Nokia but never get any answer. In the 8910 spec, it says that the phone support all these devices, ( even the TV comercial ). I intend to get Nokia to be reponsible for it. 8910 is the most expensive mobile phone in the market right now but look what do we get from it?

In Nokia 6310,6310i and 8910, you can only search for audio accessories. After all, when dealing with PCs or PDAs, e.g., you do a lot of things from the PC (PDA). So it is natural to establish connection from it to the phone.

As someone else mentioned the 8910 will only search for audio acessories not data devices.
Why do you want to establish the connection from the 8910 when you can do this from the IPAQ? The idea is that you use the IPAQ to control the phone i.e. use the DUN profile to establish an internet connection. If I have the wrong end of the stick by all means please correct me. |
