On the 6600 I have an app that has a sizeable image (ie larger than the screen) and scroll it around by 1-5 pixels at a time. The image is a typically mutable Image object.

Now when scrolling this image I notice a tearing effect that seems to indicate that only a portion of an object is being drawn this frame. It quickly corrects itself but is rather distracting.

Is there anyway I can avoid this or anything obvious that I may be doing wrong?

Though the S60's are supposed to be double buffered you can try creating your own screen buffer and see if this fixes the problem.
