6230 Signed MIDlet exception -

Hallo
I have a 6230 phone with firmware version 03.15. I cannot load a signed MIDlet onto the phone. It keeps on giving me invalid certificate exceptions. If I load the MIDlet as an unsigned MIDlet it does not allow me to open a socket connections. Any idea how to fix this? Any help will be appreciated.
