When pairing the above two devices I receive and terminate incoming calls successfully by using the button on the headset. I cannot however initiate an outside call from the headset by pressing the button and voice dialling, instead I have to press the name or volume down key on the phone and then I get a beep in the headset to voice dial. This way I have to keep the phone at hand. Is this correct, because according to the booklet supplied with both the devices, calls should be possible to be initiated by pressing the button on the headset and voice dialling. What is wrong?

I heard from different stores in Holland that Nokia is giving a software update to the 6310i to solve this problem, I bought my Motorola Headset with the intention to use the voice dialling when driving my car. The headset + voice dialling works fine with T68i/Motorola Bluetooth handsets.

My supplier said that this is correct, however to answer your question with another. I also have the same headset but get a constant crackle from it. My supplier swapped the headset and I still have same problem. I contacted Motorola and they say that Nokia have admitted there is a software problem with the 6310i, do you have the same problem?

I've got the same problem with my new Jabra Bluetooth headset. And others in this forum have posted similar problems with their Bluetooth headsets. I spoke with Jabra Tech Centre Monday and confirmed the firmware in the 6310i (various versions) has glitches and they were told by Nokia an "upgrade" was in the works and/or available. I inquired with Nokia Customer Service (North America) but they have yet to get back to me. Will post reply when they do.
