Hello,
I have been working in a j2me application for some time using sun's wtk and I wanted to try to use it with bluetooth hardware. I asked in sun's forums and they recommended me to use nokia developer's tools. So I downloaded Nokia developer's suite 2.1 for j2me and tried my application. It works fine using bluetooth simulation, but just don't know what I have to configurate or do to use the emulator with bt dongle (want to connect two pc). thank you. |

Series 60 MIDP SDKs support Bluetooth HW.
-In Series 60 MIDP SDK 1.2.1: Nokia Connectivity Card DTL-4 or Socket Bluetooth CF Card (part number 8510-00159 F). Please note that it may be difficult to find those cards anymore -In Series 60 MIDP SDK 2.0 or newer: Bluetooth cards supporting H4 HCI or BCSP HCI. For installation guide for the Series 60 MIDP SDK 2.0, please download a 'Setting Up and using Bluetooth Hardware with Development Tools' document from Forum Nokia -> Technologies -> Bluetooth -> Documents. The system requirements and installation guides are similar than in C++ tools dscreibed in the document. (For Series 60 MIDP SDK 1.2.1, download an older document 'Setting Up and using Bluetooth Testing Environment for Developer Platform for Series 60 1.0') Seppo Forum Nokia |

Thanks for your reply.
I see that you are talking about cards and Symbian SO with C++. But I am working with a usb bluetooth dongle and j2me. I would like to know if there is any way to communicate with a bluetooth device, such as a mobile phone, using the nokia developer's suite emulator and my usb. thank you again. |
