When my client downloads the application midlet they get the following message: "Application Widget is untrusted. Continue anyway?" Do I have to sign the midlet to make this go away? How do I sign a midlet and can it be done for free or do I have to purchase something?

If you can give me an outline of the procedure it would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Dude!, have some respect! People can't read your mind. Provide some specific information to your questions: MIDP version, platform, device, action performed, in what context! How do you even get a "client" ?

At least spend some time just looking through this site:

some more stuff:

You can automate the MIDlet-signing with J2ME Polish by the way:

Best regards,

I need another method because I don't use J2ME polish. Any ideas? (and yes, if necessary, they will purchase a certificate)

If you used a certificate created by yourself, the problem is that the certificate is not installed on the phone. Even though it is not generally possible, on S60 2nd Edition phones it is possible to install a certificate for MIDlet signing
