After sending a 3MB file via Bluetooth it appeared as new message stored within the phone memory. After transfering this message/file to the MMC-chip I erased the message from the phone memory only to find out that even though this message does not appeear as message any more the storage space it had occupied has not been freed for other use. So that no 3MB of the phone memory are blocked and I was not able to find out how to resolve this problem.
Is there a code or function which will free this memory or entirely erase the whole phone memory and initialises it? The phone reset function does not solve this problem. I would appreciate any hint to solve this problem or to point where I can find an answer to this problem. Thanks in advance Rolf Wichmann |

In the meantime I already have found a solution myself:
After installing the file browsing software "SeleQ" on the Nokia 3650 in a subdiretory of C:/system/mail/ I found the mentioned 3MB file still stored and found out that it had a system file attribute! After changing this attribute to non-system the file again became visible in the stored messages so that this time I was able to delete it and restore the associated memory. The bottom line is that the use of such a file manager is highly recommendable. Rolf Wichmann |
