Hello!
I am from Singapore. I own a Nokia 7610 phone. The Nokia 7610 phone that I have does not have options to set to Japanese language input. And I have a Japanese friend here, and I would like to send him sms in Japanese using my nokia 7610. Another thing to say is that I know J2ME but not too familiar with the connection and SMS framwork thingy. So my question is this-> How can I create a MIDLET so thatI can type and receive Japanese text and send to my Japanese friend? I understand that both parties must have this 3rd party software(which is of course made by me). 1. What programs do I need? Sun wireless toolkit? nokia series 60 Emulator? 2. And how can I test the connection? Do i need to set a IIS in my windows XP pro ? I've thought of a way if the above mention does not work. first I create small pictures of Japanese characters and then store them in the phone. Each picture of the character represents a letter say "ah" for the Japanese character represents A in the english letter. when being displayed on screen it shows the picture of the Japanse character rather than the English letter. But when sending to my friend, it sends the English letter but display as the Japanese character as a picture. Thanks. |
