I'm quite sure this thread will be deletet before anyone can share my anger, just because of my Nick.
Whatever, here is why i never will buy a f...k Nokia again: The Phones are great, no question about that, but Jesus this software is criminal! Ever tried to install the "Nokia Pc-Suite"? I did so, after restart there where three more icons in the taskmenue and two in autostart, one of them without any sense!!my PC told me no more memory available, 2 programms are fighting against each other, reboot. This is what i found then: 1. Nokia Pc-Suite Icon > WHY????? there's one on the Desktop!!!!" 2. "mRouter" > WHY?????? starts automatically when activating Pc Suite 3. "Connection Manager" > My Favorite one, always fighting against my Bluetooth Software, i still don`t know what`s the sense of this terrorist. The first 2 have to be dissabled in the TASKMANAGER! and thrown out of the autostart menue The CONNECTION MANAGER has to be dissabled in the REGISTRY!!!! Who is Programming this Bullshit???????? Do You use it yourself or prever a SIEMENS??? You are not allowed to connect to the www, have a firewall/virussoftware running, or do anything else on the PC while PcSuite is running, or it simply won`t work! Infact i normaly have to reboot, cancel ALL Programms, and then, after repeating this 2-3 times, i finally can connect to my phone. The BLUETOOTH is always connected, but the Suite only when it`s in the right mood. sometimes it is connected(mRouter flashes), but no data exchange is possible, whyever. Sorry Nokia, new age, cover-switching and expensive pictureSMS is Standart, people want more, and you definitly did not even miss the train, you crashed it !!! |

I feel your pain pal, but yelling and screaming with hate will probably not get anything solved.
Nokia develops great hardware, and the supporting software isn't really as great as their hardware. However, you need to keep in mind that Nokia is not a software company like Microsoft is. They probably have limited resources to assign to software issues (even though that is not a good excuse really for a company like Nokia). Maybe Nokia should make some libraries and API (on the PC side) public for developers so that they can develop some of this software. This would help lift some of the burden of Nokia's shoulders, make money for independent developers, and please the Nokia customers. |
