midi and wav at the same time on the 6600 -

Hi,
Quick question. Is it possible to play a midi and a wav at the same time on the 6600? I currently have a midi playing and as soon as a wav is played, the midi is killed off. Is this a bug, or just the way it is on the 6600? Thanks in advance
