I am attempting to write a bluetooth application
1. If i install Nokia Connectivity framework, do I need any hardware to test my app across emulators ? I am guessing no. 2. I installed three SDK series 60 SDK 1.2, 2.0 and 2.1. When in the emulator I go into commmunication\bluetooth both 1.2 and 2.0 give me an error saying "feature not supported". Only the 2.1 emulator gives me the bluetooth screen (with my detectibilty, my bluetooth name etc). What could be the problem with the other two ? what more would i need ? 3. And even in 2.1 emulator, inside communication\bluetooth, bluetooth is always off. when i try to switch it to 'on' it says "could not perform bluetooth operation." This behavious ir thru a NCF environment. 4. I am trying all this without any bt hardware and after changeing bt.esk as recommended in other posts and the nokia document. this is on Windows 2003 server. 5. Also the COM ports on which the emulators are talking (in NCF) are not starting. The driver installation says the drivers installed but the device could not be start. 6. On a win 2000 box the NCF does not launch. It shows a flash of a command prompt which quickly disappears and thats it. Any help about any or all of these issues will be appreciated . |

Have you setup the HCI correctly for the emulators in NCF?

Yes! i have set the COM Port as well as the .dll name.
What intrigues me is the fact that 1. I installed NCF on 2 Win2K servers (SP3) and in both case the app does not even launch. Just flases a command prompt and disappears/ 2. The emulators say 'Bluetooth : feature not supported". Why should this be ? Please advise. I am badly stuck. Also I am trying to source a Bluetooth card. Which is the best fit for Nokia emulators ?
