Could anybody supply me with step by step instructions for how to connect the phone to a Windows machine running the Bluetooth stack included with XP SP2?
Currently when I try to run it, it correctly finds the computer in a list of available bluetooth devices, but when I select the computer name it gives me a traceback, the last line of which reads: File "E:\System\Apps\Pyhton\my\simplebtconsole.py", line 41 in ? address,services=socket.bt_discover() socket.error 2, 'No such file or directory')Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks, -T. |

Thanks - that helped a bit (I am running WinXP SP2, which seems to differ a bit from the Windows 2000 setup described).
I now get a bit further: instead of bombing out as described before, the script successfully detetcts the COM port: Discovered: 00.0d.etc:01, {u'COM4,1} Connectiong to ('00.0d.etc:01,1) and stays like this for a while before I get a socket error: socket.error: (54, 'Connection refused by remote host') What am I missing? Thanks, -T. |
