Programming language:
-Symbian C++ - native programming language with a wide set of APIs
-Java MIDP
-Python, a new scripting language for Series 60. Mostly for easy programming and for non-commercial apps.

Target platform / device:
Choose the target platform/device. Nokia 6600 supports Series 60 Developer Platform 2.0, and Nokia 6630 supports Series 60 Developer Platform 3.0, e.g.

Go to forum.nokia.com/tools to select the correct SDK for the platform you chose (when developing for multiple devices, you might need to at least compile your code using different SDKs).

Integrated Development Environment:
You need to acquire an IDE. There are usually different versions of the SDKs for each IDE. In Java side, there is also a free IDE (Eclipse).

Generally, newest Windows operating systems (2000, XP) are supported. Check the system requirements in each tool.
