Greetings:
We are in the process of impelmenting barebones cordless telephony on Series 60 phones. We have following to resolve before we can move any forward. Is TCS-BIN implemented in Symbian? Publicly available SDKs do not indicate their presence. So if they are implemented what would it require to get access to relevant APIs? What all Nokia Series 60 phones support Bluetooth’s Handsfree and Headset profiles. Publicly available SDKs do not indicate their presence. So if they are implemented what would it require to get access to relevant APIs? Publicly available SDKs do not provide access to Bluetooth audio channels to applications. What would it require to get access to relevant APIs? I would appreciate any suggestions/pointers to these. Thanks, anant |

Are you going to implement something like CTP profile? As I got you want to use Handsfree and Headset profiles to build corldless telephony for Series 60 phones.
Do you suppose it's easily possible? |

Yes we want to implement something like CTP. It should have been pretty straight forward had symbian supported audio in duplex mode. They already support handsfree and headset profiles so their must be away out to do this. But as the APIs aren't publicly available, I wanted to hear from the Nokia guys about what does it take to get access to them.
Thanks, Anant |

I'm now investigating the same problem. But all I could find out is that it's almost impossible task to implement BT CTP on Series 60 phones.
I rather doubt that using the Handsfree and Headset profiles will help to succeed... Do you have any thoughts that make you sure this work could be done? |
