Which series 40 phones can be used to capture sound in J2ME? What is the format of the captured sound? I am looking for the phones able to record sound in AMR format.

i guess you can find this in the specs of the phones, else you still can try the access methods for that kind of information (getSupportedContentTypes for the type of media files, and getSupportedProtocols will give you the protocols, that may be record, or device for recording, if i remember)

But i wasn't able to find it in the specs.
It just says

"If audio recording is supported, the following encoding formats will be supported:
• 8-bit 8-kHz mono PCM encoding in WAV
• AMR"

in series 40 spec.

I tried the "supports.audio.capture" property in nokia 7270 and 5140, and both do not support.

So i couldnot find any phone in series 40 that supports audio record.
