Hi there!
I known this topic is quite old, however I still can't find the answer.

Is there any list concerning the Bluetooth power class of Nokia devices?
Presumably they are class 2 and therefore have an approximate range of 10 meters, but can anyone confirm it?

Thanks.

The range is around 10 m (class 2) but we can't know it by any API

Thank you for your reply.
So we cannot programmatically get the power class of the device, but can I find it in any paper? Or Nokia phones are simply all bluetooth class 2?
I searched in http://www.forum.nokia.com/devices/matrix_all_1.html but these details are not reported.

ph_tropper, please do not hijack threads of others. Your (complete) issue might be much different in detail. Furthermore, one might not look at that thread because there are answers present already. Let us continue there …

I'm sorry if I somehow hijack the thread from rapajic, but I think my question is exactly the same. I searched on the issue rather than start opening threads, I think that's the correct way to do it
rapajic poster the question: "..I need to know the bluetooth power class for this device and where I can found information about bluetooth power class for nokia devices."

Ok, in my case I would like to have a comprehensive list of all Nokia devices and their bluetooth power classes, or liked that you pointed me in the right direction, the place where to find that info.
If it is difficult to generalize for all Nokia phones, than please tell me, if anyone knowns, which is the power class of Nokia 6288, Nokia 6630 and Nokia e61.

Thanks!

ph_trooper, the Bluetooth SIG tells you the power class. Some products are based on others, so you have to look-up their ID. From that information, the baseband in Nokia 6288, Nokia 6630 and Nokia E61 are all power class 2.

Some devices may support API to retrive power class. I took a look in Symbian BT stack and don't see any API to get power class. Have you seen it anywhere?
