We need to do a screen capture and store the image. Is that possible to do?

In regular Java, screen capture is possible with the com.sun.image.codec.jpeg.JPEGImageEncoder, java.io.File and java.io.FileOutputStream.

These are not available in J2ME. Would screen capture still be possible, and if so, how could it be implemented?

Not with regular MIDP, but using the Nokia extensions you could (DirectGraphics.getPixels()).

Would it also be possible to create files with this library? Could screen capture be possible to make on other mobiles than Nokias?

Wouldn't it be possible to write to a buffer, or even use the double buffer used in drawing to the screen, to make a capture at any time?
