Can any one help me if it is posible to send audio over bluetooth using nokia 6600..
and dose the bluetooth object exchange has the ability to send audio file..

You can send audio files via Bluetooth OBEX (Object Push) if they are not forward-locked (OMA DRM).

You cannot stream audio via Bluetooth (only use case is when using a headset/carkit).

seppo_fn, if you can stream audio via Bluetooth for headsets or carkit, why it is not possible to make it between 2 mobiles that support headset using the same method as the communication between the phone and the headset? (Phone sends audio to headset “to hear the other person” then gets audio from headset “when speaking”  Phone gets audio from another phone “to hear the other person” then sends audio that phone “to speak”). Is what I say make any sense?

I have the similar kind of doubt that why it is not possible to send audio over BT from one phone to other phone??Can't we emulate the same thing what was happening between head set and phone onto two phones??

Hello tripiri,
The latest thing that I found about this issue is that I could send audio over BT from one phone to another but only in a half duplex way, (can't talk and hear at the same time, only one way) and also the transmission is not that efficient because the range is too small i.e. in places where there is boundaries or many people around the range can be 4-7 meters then the audio stops!! I don't know if there are ways to overcome these problems. Did any one tried to do some thing like this?

Could you share the code if it possible for you that worked to transfer the audio data via Bluetooth??

Atleast give some inputs how could you able to achieve that.

Hi seppo,
i want to write a program that could produce a sound on by BLUETOOTH headset.What all should i do for that?can you tell me the steps and the basics?I just want to connect to bluetooth heaset and if i send some data like for example, sendtoBluetoothheadset(bluetooth address, data)
can i be able to produce a sound on the headset?? i am using s60 2nd and 3rd edition.
