I have an application that acceses file connetions and the camera of the phone. However, jvm (I think so) asks if it is ok for this application to use these attributes. How can I close these questions on my nokia 6630. There is a certification and trust menu having a list of certificates but I do not know what to do.

I HAD ALSO DEVELOP SUCH AN APPLICATION FOR MY NOKIA 6600 . AT THE TIME OF MESSAGING AND TAKING PICTURE THE APPLICATION ASK ME WHETHER TO ALLOW APPLICATION TO USE CAMERA OR MESSAGING SERVICE .. I AM ALSO TRYING TO CLOSE THIS SECURITY CHECK BUT DO NOT ABLE TO DO SO .. I HAD ALSO GO IN APPLICATION MANAGER BUT NOT ABLE TO CLOSE SECURITY CHECK .. CAN U TELL ME HOW U SOLVE THIS PROBLEM OR U R STILL IN THIS PROBLEM ..

I could not solve the problem. I guess we will pass the project to our symbian group.

I have no clear answer to your problem. However, as far as I know you should sign your application by a certificate issued by either operator or manufacturer to let the application use some APIs that are secured and available only to trusted applications. I think you can find more information about that on MIDP specifications and nokia specific documents.

It is funny most of us got the same problem with the Security topic. But nobody can realy help us. I try now to get a Certificate from Sun which sings my application. But if I run the application in the emulator as trusted 3party application the requests you discriped are shown. I haven't tried to run the application on the yet because I need the cetificate for file access.
