Hi,
I've written client-side python app for a nokia 6600 that connects to a server on a PC that is also written in python. the Nokia app connects to my server automatically when it starts, and then i can send commands from the server (via a user interface) to the phone, one of these commands tells the phone to take a photo and send it to the server. This works perfectly, except that at the third time i run it (the connection is open throughout the entire time), during the sending of the image, the signal bar on the top left of the phone screen drops to zero, and there's a slash over the G. The connection is lost completely, and I can't even make regular calls, when i try to dial i get a message "No Network Coverage". I have to poweroff the phone and then power it up again, and then i get the connection back. I've tried this several times, the exact same thing happens over and over again (i've tried it with and without the bluetooth connection to a PC and it didn't change a thing) Thanks in advance, -- David |

What is the firmware version of your phone (you can check this by dialing *#0000#)? Can you post your code here or on a web site somewhere?

Can you narrow the problem down a bit? For example, does the error occur if you just send previously saved pictures without using the camera or if you just use the camera and don't send the pictures at all?

I've tried sending saved pictures, it worked perfectly (i sent over 40 pictures, and there were no problems),
I haven't tried just using the camera, but i will try that, i'll let you know if it works or not. Basically, the first two capture&send tries work, on the third try the connection drops (no network coverage until i restart the phone), it happens right after the capture (the capture itself is complete, the file is saved to the memory card, then it begins to send the file and gets stuck in the process) |
