Hi all,

I need to play DRM encrypted audio via J2ME. The encrypted media object is activated via the separate delivery method and plays fine using the phone's native audio player. I have not had any success trying to play the encrypted audio via a J2ME app. To access the .dcf file on the memory stick I use the FileConnection API (JSR-75). I can connect to the .dcf file but the content is of course encrypted and java does not seem to automatically decrypt the .dcf content for normal use. So I get a player exception because the audio data is invalid.

I have also tried to use FileConnection to connect to the original media file name (e.g. filename.mp3) that is encapsulated by the DRM object, but this does not work either since this "filename.mp3" does not physically exist on the file system.

Does anybody know if it is at all possible to play audio from activated DRM media objects via J2ME?
