Accesing IR port through nokia 9300 -

I have Nokia 9300(Series 80 Platform) which is compliant with MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1 It has a Infrared port and serial port .
I would like to know whether the Series 80 Platform provide support for J2ME applications to communicate using the Infrared port. If it is possible to communicate using J2ME ,then how pls snd me the link whch i can use. If it is not possible to communicate using J2ME, then what is the way to use to Infrared port (how to access it programmatically). thanks..
