Hello,
I have a Nokia 5140 (CLDC-1.1, MIDP-2.0, JTWI 1.0, MMAPI 1.1) that I am developing midlets for and am trying to understand if I can actually play a video file within a midlet. The phone supports MMAPI but if I ask for its supported media types thru the "Manager.getSupportedContentTypes" I get ONLY: audio/x-tone-seq and nothing else! so although I can record and play video on the phone itself and MMAPI is supported, it appears that I cannot play a video file within a midlet. Is this correct, and is there any way around it. Also why is MMAPI implementation so inconsistent. A phone that supports MMAPI may not necesarily be able to do much depending on the implementation. Does anyone know where I can find information regarding this issue? Also did anyone resolve accessing GPS data from this phone or is it a lost cause! Thanks Greg GIannis |
