I'm trying to show a stream via RTSP on a 6680 and it won't work.
I have tried the same code on Sony Ericssons cell-phones and it works there.

I get and exception when I create the player
permission = javax.microedition.io.rtsp

What does it mean?

Hi,

RTSP streaming in J2ME is implemented from S60 Feature Pack 3 onwards. 6680 is a Feature Pack 2 phone.

3.5 Recording Sound and Video
Sound and video recording can be done by using RecordControl. On the S60 platform, sound and video recording is supported from 2nd Edition onwards. Currently the Series 40 platform does not support sound recording, and Nokia 6280 is the first Series 40 device that supports video recording. You can check the support by using the following system properties:

1. Nokia7610 doesn't support?

2. Whether there is an opportunity to realize midlet which will be capable to read out data from video of the chamber of phone and to write these data on a server by means of the report rtsp?
3. Whether any digital signatures or certificates to realize it are necessary?
4. What phones (series) really support such opportunity?
