I know that some bluetooth headsets are incompatible with some phones because of the differences in the bluetooth profiles.
Is there something more then those specific bluetooth profiles that can make so a phone of another trademark then Nokia that has the same bluetooth profiles like a Nokiaphone (and the same versions) will not work with Nokias bluetooth headsets? |

Most Nokia phones used to support only the Bluetooth Handsfree profile, and not the Bluetooth Headset profile. That's because they are mostly overlapping and most Bluetooth headsets support both profiles and thus work with devices supporting either one.
However, there were some early Bluetooth headsets with only Bluetooth Headset profile support. Such didn't work with phones that only had/have Bluetooth Handsfree profile support. So, any Bluetooth headset by any manufacturer supporting the Bluetooth Handsfree profile 1.0 or 1.1 has a good chance of working with every Nokia phone with Bluetooth. |
