Accessing SMS messages in Series 40 phones -

Hi all
Hope someone can help me out. I'm trying to develop an application to access SMS messages and display them in a large font, as I'm visually impaired. I've gotten as far as displaying input text in huge letters and having it scroll past the screen but it seems I've hit a brick wall when it comes to accessing the actual SMSs. I haven't been able to find a single example except one in C++ for a Series 60 phone. I'm using a Nokia 3220. Is this just not possible because of security implications? Thanks a lot, Gísli

As far as I know it's not possible to access the sms inbox folder with j2me...
