Unicode problem -

I can't get test_contacts.py to work with default DB, because, as I understand it, my constacts use cyrillic (Russian) characters in text fields, therefore, it raises "UnicodeError: ASCII encoding error: ordinal not in range(128)" at line 21 of test_contacts.py.
So. How do I work around this? And second question: how do I hardcode string constants with cyrillic letters in scripts? I think >>u"MyCyrString"<< will not work. While here. Will there be any way to control soft buttons captions in next versions?
