Hi, I know that this might not be the right place to post this question but it´s the best one I found.
I´ve been trying to connect my 6230 to my laptop with a USB Bluetooth adapter. The computer recognizes the phone and the phone recognizes the computer (they "pair"). However, the nokia suite nor windows acknowledge that the phone is now connected and hence I can´t transfer files or sync. Any idea what could be the problem? |

What version of PC Suite (make sure you have the latest one from http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite)?
Also, whose Bluetooth adapter and whose drivers (make sure you have the latest manufacturer drivers, or use Windows XP SP2 and the built-in Microsoft Bluetooth drivers)? |

I downloaded the latest version of PC suite from the nokia website (6.6) but I´m not sure which Bluetooth adapter I´m using. It´s tiny, blue and has no inscription on it whatsoever. I was using windows xp sp2 with the microsoft drivers. Could it be that the problem is caused by the firmware on my phone? It has the 4.44 that´s almost a year old.

I do not think your setup is the culprit. It is your version of PCSynch is my opinion. I had to go to version 6.80.
My setup on a 6230 and Sony Vaio laptop works perfectly (and reliably all week too) now and you may be interested to see the config; I posted at: - http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...6230+Bluetooth ![]() |

www.usbman.com/WebDrivers/USBview/ Click on the adapter in left window and read the properties in the right window. When you have found out your manufature code you can hack the bth.inf and cheat XP Sp2 into thinking its a valid bluetooth adapter See my entry about hacking "other" bt usb adapters to work with XP. http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...ad.php?t=80683 Once you get think working install PC suite 6.6 or 6.8 again after deinstalling your original version. reboot machine reinstall v6.6 and install detects BT device. You will also have to deinstall all other bt stack s/w to make this work. Jim |
