hi all
recently downloaded sony ericson j2me sdk. could see mmapi documentaion there. but it does n ot work in sony ericson phones.. why? does it really support mmapi. or is it just another documentaion freely available... thanks

Yes, MMAPI works fine on lots of SE phones.

may be (i don't know, i say that just in case ...), i say may be, it might be depending on the phone model you are using ... (who know ...)

IMHO the SDK is not enought for developing MMAPI applicaitons on SonyEricssons. You should get also the emulators for SE phones where MMAPI is supported
