Hi...
Thanks for viewing. I'm am just getting started developing for the symbian platform and need to be able to test my applications on the actual devices involved. There is information stating that I need to have my app java verified and symbian certified. Does this have to take place before I can even run my app on any device? Am I restricted to using simulators/emulators until that time? This doesn't seem likely but I can't find information otherwise. I'd like to know before purchasing a number of devices. TIA! j |

Hi,
There is no need to get ur appl. certified by JAva or Symbian in order to test it on any device or simulator. So, go ahead and embark on your projects Cheers, Amulya |

Hi Jedweb! Welcome to Nokia Discussion Boards!! :)
If you have to test your apps in real devices you dont really need to sign the applications.. But before releasing it for public it would be better to sign your application. If you have to test your application signing you could do it with Nokia developer suite for J2ME. Also have a look at http://javaverified.com/ for application signing. regards Gopal |
