I have the ST Micro Bluetooth Device with BlueSoleil 1.4.9.6 Release 050322 under Windows Xp SP1. The problem is that when i try to connect to my Nokia 6670 via Nokia Pc Suite 6.6.18, i get the following error: Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software and drivers are available. (Code: OpenMedia).
If i use only the drivers for bluetooth (not install BlueSoleil), my Bluetooth dongle is detected in Device Manager but not by Nokia Pc Suite.
Please tell my what is the sollution for this problem. I want to use bluetooth connection as i used the data cable (USB DKU-2) connection. Thank you!

for IVT Bluesoleil you can read this on PC Suites download page;

"IVT BlueSoleil Bluetooth stack for Windows XP/2000 (driver version 1.6.1 with release version 05222 or newer must be used)"

Upgrade bluetooth SW and it will work!

SW = software. If the bluetooth dongle is going to work you need the bluetooth software to be updated..

Look on your bluetooth manufacturers homepage for updates.

I solved that problem, it was driver version older then PC Suit required. But i have another one. Now it detects the phone but i cannot pair it with the computer. The password option on the phone does not apper. And the PC Suite status is Not Connected. I tried with another 2 computers and it's the same. But with a Nokia 6230 worked fine. What should i do? Could be a phone software problem ?

IVT Bluesoleil

As this is the developer forum, please, if you have further problems with the Nokia PC Suite, contact end-user support channels …
