I don't believe it's dead. There's just too much potential in the technology. Despite the effort of the guys/girls developing pys60 I do wonder what NOKIA's plans are with Python. It has potential, but the question is whether NOKIA will exploit it.

Glad to know 1.2 is coming soon.

The competition between Symbian and PocketPC Phone is going on.
It seems Symbian is loosing ground if more great apps and phones are
released from the other camp faster. Pys60 can help making more
quick and user-customizable apps. Hope Nokia will take this opportunity
seriously. Otherwise, some people will consider migrating to the other camp.

Objection: In my opionion it is better to have a solid development than quick releases, i.e. the way its done currently. Already in this state there are plenty of opportunities to develop software, almost all features are there. I would hope for more postings of software in this forum though.

Another week is passed...No final release...

The 1.2 build is complete and has been delivered. At this point we're just waiting for it to go live on the website. When that will happen is up to the people that run the website...
