Does anyone have a copy of the BlueSoleil software 1.6.1.1 release 05222. It seems tha this is only one that will work with the N70, but is not to be found anywhere I have tried so far.

There is an obvious issue with the N70 bluetooth - has anyone else got it working?

My N70 works with Bluetooth (WinXP SP2 Bluetooth drivers) without any problems. I'm not using BlueSoleil, though.

that's where I downloaded bluesoleil. now it works with pc suite, but when I pair my phone, it is paired to bluesoleil, not with pc suite! any suggestion?

Nokia N70 working fine with Blue Soleil dongle and the latest software / Drivers from Blue Soleil (1.6.1.4).
Never had any problems with bluetooth and there are no issues with Bluetooth on the N70!
Blue Soleil also works easily with Nokia PC Suite, again this is the latest version (6.70.22)

I am using rebranded USB BT dongle that provides Blue Soleil software. My friends Nokia phone works nicely with this dongle but when I tried my N70, it works quite randomly. Not even everytime I can perform BT service discovery succesfully. Only couple of times I had success doing syncronization.

There seems to be some kind of incompatibility with those two.

Using just the cable to transfer software for testing between PC and N70 is just a bit clumsy.

Just in case someone else has problems with this, here is something I found out...

I bough another USB BT dongle. This is BT 2.0 dongle and featured same software as here for Win2k. I tested this on one w2k laptop and it seemed to work fine with software provided. But for WinXP there weren't need to install this software. WinXP had already drivers for this newer dongle and it works fine now. Can't remember the name for this dongle now.

I think the old USB dongle were Gigabyte GN-BTD02 and it is BT 1.2. For this older dongle it was instructed to install BlueSoeil software when using WinXP. Didn't test wether it would have worked without BlueSoeil.

So definitely there is some problems with this Gigabyte dongle and N70.

If you can hack the bth.inf you use the native MS XP SP2 BT USB drivers which means that v6.6 and V6.8 now work with the N70.

Well I've now got the latest softare on my phone, the right Bluesoleil software and drivers according to Nokia, and at best it will work about once every 20 times, and causes other computer issues - such as changing the WLAN settings!!

I've given up - the cable works great!!

After 12 months I have never managed to get my N70 working with the BlueSoleil Bluetooth, however the cable works very well.
Now looking for a new Nokia, any recommendations?
