Hi all,
I am doing a project to connect a microcontroller with a nokia phone using bluetooth. I bought a blueport device from www.gridconnect.com that supports SPP. I tried pairing and connecting....everything went normal. But I need to write an application in J2me or Symbian C++ similar to the hyperterminal that is used in Windows...then download it on the nokia phone so that i would know what is being sent from the microcontroller. I tried connecting between the blueport ,connected to computer, and bluetooth enabled laptop...It successfully worked...both computers use hyperterminal....send or write something in one appears in the other one. No the think is i wanna do the same thing with the mobile. Having a similar hyperterminal application on the nokia phone so that i would know whats coming from the computer or microcontroller. 1) Is it possible to have such an application? 2) Is there a ready made application used like a hyperterminal on the nokia phones? 3) Does nokia phones support SPP? Thanks alot for your time Hazem |

Yes, it sould be possible connect to the microcontroller with bluetooth and SPP using java and sending and receiving commands.
No problem here. As far as I know, all phones with JSR-82 have SPP regards |
