Hi,
I did some test with this new tool, but I have some problem and I hope someone can help me.
I want to develop a theme for my N70, but also for 6680, 6630 and so on.

I prepared a test theme with modified only:
- Background
- 1 icon - the applications icon (edited in SVG format for best result) - qgn_menu_appsgrid
- qsn_fr_list - the box of line selection

After that I make 3 sis files, one for version 2.6, one for 2.8 and one for 3.0.

I sent these 3 sis at the N70.
The first installed ok, al is ok, but this is for phone like 6680 or 6630
The second, 2.8, installed ok but I don't see the application icon
The third, 3.0, doesn't install, I have the message file brocken.

I think this last file (3.0) is for different phone, newer than the N70, right?

But... why the 2.8 doesn't show the icon modified in SVG?
This version is the one for the N70... why doesn't work?

But I don't know why your 2.8 version theme not work properly on N70.

Symbian 2.6 Theme studio themes, work all right in 6260 phone too. Probably it works on 6600, 7610 and 6670 too. I just didn't test it

I have the same problem... I have 1.2, 2.0 and 3.0 version of Theme Studio. In the 1.2 is the best thing that you can edit existing.sis files, but you can´t transfer them to nokia N70 without loosing icons. The .sis file generated in 3.0 version is always corrupted when i try to install it to N70. Pls help how can I made not corrupted .sis file?

Checkout -> Continue -> Create sis file dialog -> click Advance (bottom left button)
Theme support
Select -> Series 60 2.8 version

Hello all,

I am new to developing themes for the Nokia Series 60 phones.

I tried to create a .sis file for the tdf examples given there in the S60 Theme Studio provided by Nokia.

Since the .sis file provided along with it was displaying a File corrupted error while installing it, I decided to create a .sis file on my own.

I have created a private key and the self certified public key, and am including them in the Advanced section of the sis file creator dialog box.
But there is an option of DRM protection, also.

When I click it, it creates a .pip package which could not be installed through the PC suite, but if I do not select it, it displays a sis creation failed message.

Please help me, how can I create a .sis file.

Hi Mahesh,

How did you created the .sis file.
I also tried to create it but it created .pip package when I selected DRM protection.

I have also included the private and the public key.

I have installed a Nokia Theme Studio 3.0, and I can't change its Folder Icons. I did a test: I changed all icons in Theme Studio, but when I installed this theme in mobile, there is some folders that can't change...

My mobile is Nokia 6630.

Should I use Symbian OS 8.0a (S60 V2.6 Feature Pack 2)?

Anybody can help me?

Actually you probably do not need it. Isn't Carbide.ui better for you? Also check this forum.
