i was trying to create a button :

private StringItem buttonItem = new StringItem(null, "Search", Item.BUTTON);

but it is not appearing on the screen, infact i put this button in between 2 TextField - i noticed while scrolling that it is not getting focus at all.

is it possible to create BUTTON on the screen of Series 60 handset eg: Nokia 6680 ?

Another problem is itemStateChanged method is showing strange behaviour with TextFields on Series 60 handset.
My target hardware is nokia 6680.

any thought:???
