Hi!

I have to do a Pacman clone for Nokia 6600. My doubt is what is the best solution for the "map". Have an image file with the map or a file with the configuration and design it in runtime with a TiledLayer and image file with all the possible pieces.

Thanks in advance.

IMHO it would be better if you use a seperate background image and obstacle/collectibles as seperate images. so that you could design the map at runtime. Else if you use seprate images for different maps, as levels goes increasing you have to keep multiple images and that will result in increasing the .JAR size.

Regards
Gopal

Use diferent images for background and obstacles is always better. You have smaller jar size and is easyer to make diferents phases of the game mapping the tiles!
