I have install the SDK that version is S60_2nd_FP1.But when i install the Python_for_2ndEd_FP1_SDK, i see then notes of "Symbian SDKs for Series 60 EPOCROOT Folder     null".Then, i can't find the python icon in the Emulator of the SDK.

I have a similar problem. I have Python running on my phone - no problem there. But getting the development environment set up on my PC is a different matter. I downloaded and installed the SERIES 60 SDK FOR SYMBIAN OS version 1.2 (Borland/Microsoft ed), which installed itself into the directory (XP) C:\Symbian. I then, following the instructions in "Getting Started with Python", installed the Python_for_2ndEd_SDK.exe. But there was no Python directory at: <EPOCROOT>\Epoc32\Release\wins\udeb\z\system\apps and so the emulator files and sample scripts were not copied into it. Please can someone tell me where I've gone wrong? My phone is the Nokia N90.

The reason maybe is your "Python for series 60 sdk" and the "series 60 sdk" in two version,just change to one version.

i have fix up my problem. i install the S60_2nd_FP1 again and install the activeperl,and then, when i am installing the python for Python_for_2ndEd_FP1_SDK, i can see the note is my symbian installed directory
