Hey all,

Please tell me, will it be possible to use a mmc between 1gb and 2gb in the nokia 6230i? Will the phone be able to handle it? I am thinking of getting me a big card. Just want to know what you think. Will it work?

The answer is no, it won't work, it's not possible.

"32 MB internal memory and support for MMC cards up to 512 MB - use the phone as a digital storage device".

Why is it not possible? Why do they then make 2gb mmc's?

On the nokia website, when you go to "Accessories" you can select to see what is compatible with what phones. It looked like they have a 1gb mmc that is compatible with nokia 6230i. I just want to make 100% sure.

because they can be used in digital cameras aswell and other makes of phones. one word of advice tho, never ask about it in a phone shop (especially a second hand one), cuz most of them will tell u they do fit.

But on the nokia website http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,,83227,00.html?s=Data they have a compatible list for the 1 GB MMC's. And the 6230i is listed there. It should work with is then, shouldnt it?

By the way, does anyone know what type of MMC the 6230i uses? Reduced size or the normal size? I dont really know what sizes there are, and I dont know which the 6230i uses.
