I downloaded this program a few days ago and have not really found it entirely user friendly compared to the Sony Ericsson Theme Creator.

I love my Nokia however and would love to create some complete themes using this program (unless there is another available someone could suggest).

I am unable to edit my Main Menu (Tab) Backscreen AT ALL and would like to do so as I feel having the default Nokia screen really detracts from the theme as a whole.

I have clicked on Menu --> Menu Icons and scrolled to the bottom and changed the 'Tab View Background' however this does not update the background thumbnail in the program, nor does it appear when the theme is loaded to my phone.

Another issue I am having is that I am able to update my Main Menu (Grid) backscreen with this program, however again when the theme is uploaded to my phone, the default Nokia screen for this instance appears. I am becoming quite frustrated and would gladly appreciate some assistance.

even if someone could confirm that this is a common problem or whether they dont have this problem would be great so I know what's going on. I have a nokia 6280 (with 3) if this aids anyone in their reply.

One thing to watch out in the Main Menu -Menu Icons editor tab, make sure you select the correct menu item you want to customize (Messages, Gallery, etc.) on the top first, and then include your custom icons. Note the Tab view background is one per menu-item unlike the list and grid view backgrounds.
Otherwise, I have seen the tool and the phone work correctly for these cases.

yes...im havin the same problem as well...
my background for the main menu grid isnt turning up....nor the main background on my phone, even though it does turn up in the theme creator
i also have the same phone as u, the 6280 on 3...

I also have a 6280 on 3 and have tried using this theme creator, and it seems that i cannot change the appearance of some elements of the phones UI. Perhaps 3 have imposed some kind of restriction on the handset, similar to how they have locked the right shortcut button to the "Planet 3" link?
