Hi jgjbgjb! Welcome to Nokia Discussion Boards!! :)
As per Known_Issues_In_The_Nokia_6600_v1_7_en.pdf Using Backlight and Vibration Description: There are methods for using backlight and vibration both in the Nokia UI API (DeviceControl.flashLights(long duration) and DeviceControl.startVibra (int freq, long duration)) and in MIDP 2.0 (flashBacklight(int duration) and vibrate(int duration)). It is recommended not to use the Nokia UI API methods. Solution: The MIDP 2.0 methods should be used. In software versions 3.42.1 and 4.09.1, only backlight is supported. Regards Gopal |

In case you have missed, please check whether you have Vibrating alert 'On' in your current profile.

Hi Pillar,
Check by using the Nokia specific vibrate option since your phone supports Nokia UI API..also check what gopal has said. Please try giving 500 as duration. thanks Soku |

Hi Wang,
Is there a problem for vibration regarding the unavailabilty of the SIM card. thanks Soku |
|
About vibration, a stupid thing i did : /
You can check if vibration are ON in the option of application folders (option => setting application) . I looked for a long time on my nokia 6280. (so vibration alert ON is not enought ) Don't too much care about your life, in all the cases you will not survive. |

Hi soku,
Some of the signed applications doesn't work if u r not using a valid sim. Or u r not using any sim. Wang |
