I found that the reception distance problem was due to the bluetooth usb on the computer NOT THE 6230i. I have now put bluetooth dongle on a 0.5M , 2 foot, USB extension cable away from the PC and Wireless LAN adapter and I have increased reception by 3Metres , 10 feet!.
This means I can get connection over all the house through several walls in between my pc and phone. I can also connect my other PC using PAN network connection now which was not possible before the Wireless Lan 802.11 54MB was interfering with the bluetooth radio causing connections the drop out. The lesson here is. If it does not connect move or extend the connection DONT blame the phone!. |
