Hi,
I have to design a website for Series 6 and Opera 8 Browser: My question is, what resolution can be displayed on Nokia 6680. The size 176x208 is clear , but what about the dpi?. I heard that some Phones can display 96 up to 192 dpi. These numbers are relevant for the screendesign. Regards Alexander |

DPI doesn't really matter when you're not either printing or scanning images.
When representing things on a display (web page design) what's relevant is the pixel resolution and colour depth (for the 6680 that's 176x208 pixels and 262K colours, 2^18). |

But regarding to the resolution, can´t there be a big difference between how much content can be displayd on one screen whithout scrolling?

Hi
First a small correction, on displays it is called PPI (Pixels Per Inch) not DPI (Dots Per Inch - refering to the print process). I do not think this has any affect on your design (correct me if I'm wrong). If you have a 96PPI screen it just takes up lesser physical space than one with 72 because you can fit more pixels into an inch. cheers -karsten |
