Hi,
please check the GPRS settings. Is ur application signed... Are u getting the same error on both the N80 phones?? Wang |

The error is nothing to with GPRS setting. You can close other running applications if any and try again. If I am not wrong in some other threads also many people raised the same kind of problems for N80. I dont much about N80 as I never used one.

What is your application doing at start time? What kind of apps are running in the N80s? Can you perform other heavy operations (that could also use up all device memory) such as recording a video or audio?

Just to add: Please make sure that you dont have any other memory consuming apps running in background. You could find the total memory of a device(from a Java app) with "Runtime.getRuntime().totalMemory()" and Free memory with "Runtime.getRuntime().freeMemory()" . Also try to find out at which point is the memory leak happening.

hi wang_shui
thanx for your reply. the error message is not related to network settings. it is memory issue. i searched in teh forum and found that there are many people if not all had this problem when running apps that worked on previous versions of Symbian on N80. Nokia confirmed that this is a problem in the OS leve and they will be working on a fix for that regards :) |

This is apparently a common issue. Look here: http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...&highlight=n80
At the moment I find the new phones (N80, etc.) unusable for any serious Java application development. The best platform for me so far has been the N70. -Lujo |
