hi 2 all first of all. i'm new on the forum. i wanted to make custom themes for my nokia 8800, so i'v downloaded S40 Theme Studio 1.2

now i'v played around with it seems easy. But confused on one thing. Is it possible to change or add custom pictures of icons, within the menu?

Hi there
Sure thing - you can change the icons in your theme. There's the 'Icons' sheet to do this. First you pick the name of the sub-menu which icon you want to change. Then you have to find your new icon using the browser (just click with the button with the lil' picture - it's on the bottom of the sheet). You can change both large and small icons.

edit: One more thing: I the best sizes for the new icons are 32x32 for the small ones and 64x64 for the big. Also it's best to have them in .gif format.

Another issue is: wether your phone can have the icons changed or not. For example check that topic out:

As you can see, it's not that obvious.

Right thought i'd add on this thread. Is it not possible to have a animated image as your menu background? Does it have to be non animated? It works fine for the screen saver and the wallpaper. Just not for the menu?

Any help will be great!
